Maternity: Sydney + Daniel

Like I’ve said before, I have gorgeous cousins. Meet Sydney and Daniel. I had the pleasure of photographing these two (almost three!) when I was in Winnipeg. They are expecting their first little baby in just a few weeks! Ok, let’s be straight up here. Photographing two of my beautiful pregnant cousins all in one weekend did not help my baby fever at all. Just saying.

Sydney and I are just a year apart, so we’ve always been close growing up, even when my family moved to BC. I love this girl. Planning for my photography weekend in Winnipeg was so much fun, and she was such an amazing help! She let me use her house for my boudoir marathon. How awesome is that? And her house was perfect for it too! My weekend in Winnipeg would have never happened if it hadn’t been for Syd. She told me a while back that she had some friends interested in doing boudoir sessions, and so the planning began! And what better time to do it, then to also include time for a few maternity sessions as well. I’m going to fly back out again in June to do their newborn session too. Hey, I’ll take any excuse to fly out and visit family….and cuddle a brand new baby!

Syd and Daniel got married just a few months after Dave and I, (almost 3 years ago now!) and they live in this adorable heritage home in Wolseley that they fixed up themselves. Wolseley neighbourhood is too adorable for words! Beautiful heritage homes, the streets lined with big trees…it’s a dream neighbourhood, and it was the perfect backdrop for their maternity session. These two are going to be such amazing parents. They have so much love for this little one and for each other. They could hardly contain their excitement about this new journey of theirs as we roamed the streets of Wolseley in the beautiful glow of the evening sun.

Syd and Daniel, I’m so excited for your baby to arrive! And I’m thrilled that I get to come out and photograph you again with your new addition!!
